New Mexico's active construction and infrastructure sectors mean federal and state agencies regularly auction off heavy equipment like dozers, excavators, and graders. The state's multiple military installations and transportation departments generate consistent inventory of used machinery at auction prices well below retail. Bidprowl aggregates these opportunities from GSA Auctions, GovDeals, GovPlanet, and PublicSurplus so you can track available equipment across all major government auction platforms in one place.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT), various county road departments, and federal military installations are the largest sources. GSA Auctions handles federal surplus from multiple agencies statewide. GovDeals and PublicSurplus list state and local government equipment. Each platform covers different agencies, which is why checking across multiple sources gives you access to the full market.
Registration requirements vary by platform. GSA Auctions, GovDeals, GovPlanet, and PublicSurplus each have their own registration process. Most require a valid ID and may ask for a business license depending on the equipment category. You'll need to bid online before the auction closing time. Many auctions require payment within 3-5 days of winning, and you're responsible for equipment removal. Read the specific terms for each auction before placing a bid.
