Mechanically yes, in most cases. Many lots are decommissioned because of FDA recertification requirements or hospital upgrade cycles, not because the equipment is broken. Calibration and recertification by a licensed biomedical engineer is required before clinical use. Lot descriptions usually note last service date if available.
