TREASURES PATTERN MULTI-MU TEAPOT. Height:30cm (11.81in) , Width:18cm (7.09in) Imperial?style Duomu?hu ewer of bamboo?segmented form with raised band mouldings. The monk?cap?shaped lid is surmounted by a mythical?beast finial with gilded rim. A dragon?form handle is set to one side, while an iron?red dragon?head spout projects from the other. The whole body is decorated in dou?cai palette with scrolling lotus intertwined with the Eight Buddhist Treasures. Dense floral scrollwork is rendered with rich, neatly?applied enamels. Yellow?ground polychrome borders adorn rims, bands and foot. White?glazed base bears underglaze?blue six?character three?line seal?script mark ??Da?Qing Qian?Long Nian?Zhi??. Derived from ethnic?minority vessels, Duomu?hu were imperial court wares for Buddhist ceremonies and banquets.
