An early 20th-century German or Austrian 'Jager' (hunter) style smoking pipe, also known as a Gesteckpfeife. The piece is constructed with a turned wood bowl, a hinged white metal lid, a long wood-wrapped stem, and a horn or composition mouthpiece. It features a metal foot allowing the pipe to stand and includes what appears to be its original fabric and cord lanyard.
