A meerschaum smoking pipe, circa late 19th or early 20th century, possibly of Austrian origin. The pipe features a bent shape with ornate, engraved metal mounts on the bowl rim and shank. The stem appears to be amber. This piece is presented in its original fitted, leather-covered case with a velvet-lined interior, bearing a partially legible maker's cartouche on the lid's lining.
