The porcelain plaque depicts a drunken?scholar story painted in blue?and?white with supplementary overglaze colors. Two figures are vividly rendered, one lifting wine jar for drinking, the other lying drunk on ground, with flowing robes and scattered wine vessels, conveying lively unconstrained charm. Poetic inscription and seal marks appear on the left with elegant calligraphy. The glaze is clean and lustrous, blue?and?white gradation is layered, facial features and costumes are highlighted with enamel colors, combining fine detail and free brushwork.
