The tan/brown CMP case with foam cutout and single magazine is the standard style these pistols were commonly shipped in. The serial number 1507977 falls in the Remington Rand wartime production range, not Colt. Published U.S. military serial tables place 1,471,431–1,609,528 in the Remington Rand block, commonly attributed to late-1943/1944 wartime production. The FJA mark on the left side of the frame is associated with Lt. Col. Frank J. Atwood, who oversaw wartime ordnance acceptance in the Rochester district for Remington Rand and Ithaca production.
