LIDDED JAR, CIRCA 1920?C1940. Dimensions<br>Height: 9 in (23 cm).<br><br>Description<br>A Wilton Ware cobalt-blue lidded jar decorated with finely executed gilt chinoiserie scenes, featuring pavilions, bridges, mountains, and river boats rendered in delicate raised gilt. The deep cobalt ground contrasts richly with the bright gilt decoration, typical of Stoke-on-Trent production in the early 20th century. Marked "A.G.H.J. / Wilton Ware / Stoke on Trent" on the base. Well-preserved overall with strong gilding and minor age-related wear.<br>
