Byron Price, a heavily illustrated survey of cowboy craftsmanship and Western material culture with full-page color photography of silver-mounted saddles, tooled saddlery and gun leather, fancy-stitched cowboy boots, spurs, bits, and rawhide and horsehair braiding. With it is THE 1992 LOUIS L'AMOUR CALENDAR from Bantam Books, a large wall calendar built around full-color paintings of Western scenes used as L'Amour paperback cover art, and A HISTORY OF THE ANGUS BREED, an illustrated softcover booklet issued by the American Angus Association of St. Joseph, Missouri, tracing the breed from Scotland to the American plains. This group suits a Western art shelf, a ranch office, a tack room, or anyone in the cattle business, and it pairs naturally with the Charles M. Russell books offered separately in this sale. All three show shelf and handling wear, and the calendar is a used 1992 calendar with a punched hanging hole, all detailed below. Back panel carries a color plate of a carved and painted gun rig with cartridge belt, plus a printed barcode and ISBN block. Interior gives each month a full-page color painting over a printed grid, examples photographed being FEBRUARY facing a three-rider plate captioned RIDING FOR THE BRAND and AUGUST facing a plate captioned LAW OF THE DESERT BORDER (?), the caption line being small and only partly legible in the photograph. Back cover carries a photographic portrait of LOUIS L'AMOUR, a descriptive text block, copyright wording reading Copyright 1991 by Louis L'Amour Enterprises, Inc., a note on the Louis L'Amour Collection at Bantam Books, first publication August 1991, the BANTAM BOOKS imprint line, and a barcode. Measures approximately 8-1/2 inches tall by roughly 10 to 10-1/2 inches wide. In every tape-measure photograph the hook plate is resting on the carpet off the edge of the item rather than hooked on it, and in the height shots the tape lies on top of the closed item, so all figures are close estimates.
