Description from HiBid
Hand-Painted Earthenware Vase. An American art pottery earthenware vase attributed to Weller Pottery in the Copra pattern, circa 1915. The substantial vessel features a tall tapered cylindrical form with a flared rim and a wide, stepped pedestal base, accented by two applied ceramic ring-style handles near the neck. The body is decorated with a large-scale, hand-painted floral motif depicting poppies in muted shades of terracotta red and pale yellow with stylized blue and black centers. The background is finished in a multi-toned matte glaze with blended hues of forest green, ochre, and deep brown, creating the soft, atmospheric effect characteristic of early 20th-century Weller art pottery. The base is unmarked. Approximately 10.5 inches in height. Burns in-house shipping is available.
