and Planter. A pair of American art pottery pieces from the Louwelsa line by Weller Pottery, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. This set includes a small, squat-bodied jug with a tri-corn pinched spout and a single loop handle, alongside an oval-shaped planter or bulb bowl with a flared rim. Both pieces are crafted from earthenware and feature hand-painted slip decoration under a high-gloss glaze. The jug is decorated with a yellow and green honeysuckle motif against a dark chocolate and ochre shaded ground. The planter displays an iris blossom in autumnal orange and brown tones with green foliage against a shaded hunter green to dark brown background. The base of the jug is impressed with the circular "WELLER LOUWELSA" mark, "K 13", and "9". The planter is unmarked. Jug diameter approximately 3.25 inches; Planter length approximately 5.75 inches.
