Serial # NSN. 10 Ga double barrel hammer fired shotgun with 31” barrels. The bores are poor, dirty and pitted. Birmingham proofs from the 1855-1868 period. The barrels are marked “Laminated” on the barrel rib. The metal finish on the barrels is a grayish brown patina showing thinning, dings and scratches with a covering of light surface rust. The engraved receiver and hammers are a dark gray patina, the upper tang is broken at the end. The trigger guard shows moderate rust. The checkered walnut forearm is held with a wedge and is in fair condition showing dings, scratches and finish wear. The forearm tip is missing. The mounting lug has a large solder repair. The matching 2-piece butt stock is in good condition showing wear to the checkering with light marks and finish wear. Steel butt plate. The action works fine. C&R.
