double barrel Hammer Gun, 10 gauge, SN: 6064, shotgun, 30" brls, side lock hammer break action, very good condition except crack. The shotgun is fitted with Damascus steel barrels having a solid concave rib marked "W&C. Scott & Son. MAKERS & PATENTEES. LONDON" and has a single brass bead sight. The underside of the barrels on the flats are marked "CHARGE 4 DRM! 1 1/4 SHOT" with bores that shine bright showing some ver light surface pitting. The water table is marked "PURDEY'S/PATENT/BOLT" with patent info and makers marks. here is still case coloring present with engraved locks, reblued hammers, lever and trigger guard. The walnut straight grip butt stock has wrap around checkering and the forend is almost completely checkered as well having a horn inletted tip. The bottom of the butt stock is missing the monogram plate and there is an 1.5 inch long crack on the right at the rear of the lock face. The entire shotgun shows only minor light scattered handling. Hammers are tight, nipples do not show deformation, break lever is just right of center and lockup appears tight.
