Seven-Drawer Machinist Style Chest. This lot consists of vintage wooden storage chests designed for tools or small parts. The first item is a vertical seven-drawer machinist style tool chest. The drawer configuration includes a group of half-width drawers across the top rows and full-width drawers beneath. The chest is constructed of wood with a dark brown finish and a leather-wrapped carry handle on the top. Each drawer features a circular metal pull and is lined with bright red felt. No manufacturer markings or stamps are visible on the piece, which is in the style of those produced by H. Gerstner and Son or Sipco. The second item is a utility chest made of wood with a green painted finish. It features a hinged lid with silver-toned metal draw-bolt latches and a central keyed lock. A black metal handle is mounted to the top. The interior is painted green and contains a fixed internal wooden tray on the right side.
