Watch Store Display Case. A mid-century modern point-of-sale countertop display case manufactured for Timex Electric watches. The unit features a horizontal illuminated lightbox at the top with a textured plastic front panel reading TIMEX Electric and NEVER NEEDS WINDING in stylized lettering. The lightbox is framed with gold-toned metal trim and wood-grained laminate end caps. Below the sign are two clear molded plastic multi-tier shelving sections for watch presentation. These sections are mounted on a wood-grained laminate base supported by four short, tapered legs. The rear of the unit features two white plastic access doors. A paper label on the back identifies this as Display No. 205, for use on 115 Volts AC only. Two historic photographs of the Kimberly Mine Disaster in Nelsonville, Ohio, are currently taped inside the display but are later additions and not original to the unit.
