Unique selection of an antique to vintage Marx branded Tin Litho Climbing Tractor, perfect for any collector. Made in a few different variations, the Climbing Tractor was one of the most famous, iconic mechanical toys produced by the Louis Marx & Co from the late 30’s up through to the 1950s. Highly prized by antique toy collectors, these tractors featured detailed lithographed graphics, clockwork wind-up motors, and rubber treads that allow them to crawl over small obstacles and steep inclines.
This direct tractor appears to be an earlier model from either the late 1930’s or early 40’s. In great shape for its age, the tractor appears complete with what looks to be all of its original pieces and elements. This includes its rubber treads which are in great shape (many other examples are commonly damaged with an item this age). The tractor holds an attractive orange and yellow color scheme complete and still holds its original driver figure which holds great representation. Tractor measures 5.5” H x 8.5” W x 4” D.
