Description from HiBid
This is an antique galvanized metal jug used for oil or kerosene. It has a domed top with a large hex screw cap, a short pour spout, and a wire bail handle with a wood grip. A ruler in the photos gives a sense of its mid-size shape. The galvanized steel shows a weathered gray finish with surface rust on the cap and spout, water staining, and light pitting from age. The bottom shows honest wear and oxidation. Condition is good for its age with the cap and spout intact. These jugs display well in primitive, farmhouse, and garage settings. No clear maker mark was readable in the photos. Estimated Value: $20 to $40 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
