Dip is a stunning little pony with so much potential in the right hands, unfortunately I don't have the time for him.
Purchased last year with good intentions to work and play with him till my young horse was ready to break and for him to be a second pony, but things didn't turn out to plan, 1 being not long after I got him he got a small injury, fell in paddock having a hoon then slipped in mud, just needed a good massage and a few days rest, but then I got sick myself and then life got busy and he became a fat paddock ornament not being ridden from last August until last month when I hopped on with no trouble and 2 being a feel way to big for him.
Dip has a lovely soft mouth and is very responsive, lovely smooth trot and a ripper jump on him, previous rider (showjumping vids) used a strong bit to compete but said he didn’t need it only used as she felt he sometimes hung his head a bit, I’ve only used the snaffle with no issues.
He’s a sweet little man who tries his heart out, he can be a bit fidgety and pushy on the ground, nothing nasty just likes to keep moving, he will make a fantastic little competition pony for an experienced rider.
When he was a bit sore he threw a few bucks on the lunge, over the few months that I was busy/sick he was lunged a few times but nothing else, a couple of time mostly fresh on spring grass he threw in a few more. But I finally got on him last month (sand arena trotting vids) and he didn’t put a foot wrong and I am a nervous rider.
He’s a pretty chill boy and very cuddly in your face, loves attention, catches you, loads well and great to trim and worm.
He’s agisted only a few paddocks away from a small airport and has planes and helicopters taking off and flying overhead all day and doesn’t care, flying video was taken last week.
He’s only had a few rides since his break so not in work by any means but has been perfect for me, just too small and I think with someone more confident he will excel.
