The Nimitz is a Nuclear-powered multi-mission vessel with 2x Westinghouse A4W Nuclear Reactors. It measures 1,092 feet in length and holds the capacity of approximately 90 aircraft and 5,000 + personnel. The carrier is named after Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, the strategist who led the U.S. Pacific Fleet during World War II.
