Unit 16428 - 2016 Ford F-150, 4x2, Reg cab 3.5L V6, tires LT245/70R17. Unit was taken out of service per Metra Replacement Policy. Vehicle was driven into the turn in location however Metra recommends that the unit be towed or trailered out. Has service cap on bed with dual doors, keys for locks may be missing and/or locks inop. Was used by janitorial crews for yard and warehouse clean up. Metra has not serviced the unit recently so we don't know the status of all operations. Body as some rust, there is an amber strobe. Unit was heavily used daily. Rather than do any repair Metra decided to retire the vehicle. Although the unit runs Metra recommends it be towed or trailered out. Unit may need to be jump started, bring a jumper or cables with to get it started. For viewing contact Dan Mytnik 773-970-9474. Unit is located at the Metra Blue Island Yard, 2067 W. 123rd. A Pre-Inspection Meeting will be made by appointment only., Contact Dan Mytnik 773-970-9474 to view the vehicle(s). ALL ATTENDEES must have the following PPE (personal protective equipment): Hard hat, safety goggles / glasses, ORANGE safety vest, steel toe boots, and long pants, no shorts. Metra cannot provide security for purchased vehicles. Once a sale is complete, the buyer assumes all responsibility for the purchased vehicles. Removal of vehicles must be completed within the specified pick-up dates/times. There is absolutely no “salvage” of vehicles on Metra property. Dismantling, cutting, or crushing of any vehicle will not be allowed. However, any vehicle that must be downsized, by unbolting any attached equipment, to make it legal for transportation purposes will be allowed. Metra does not allow purchasers to make repairs on Metra property, with the exception of minor repairs needed to make the vehicle functional for removal from the premises.
Removal terms▾
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. We do not have personal at this location this is why appointments are required. If you show up without an appointment you will NOT receive your items. All items will be scheduled for removal by appointment only. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. Metra cannot provide security for purchased vehicles. Once a sale is complete, the buyer assumes all responsibility for the purchased vehicles. Removal of vehicles must be completed within the specified pick-up dates/times. There is absolutely no “salvage” of vehicles on Metra property. Dismantling, cutting, or crushing of any vehicle will not be allowed.
