This Stevens Model 414 Armory Model is a single-shot lever-action rifle chambered for the .22 Short cartridge, specifically designed for target shooting and military-style training. It features a heavy round barrel measuring approximately 26 inches in length, equipped with a blade front sight and a receiver-mounted rear peep sight. The firearm is constructed with a blued steel barrel and a receiver that originally featured case-hardening, now showing a matured mottled patina. The furniture consists of a straight-grip walnut buttstock with a black composition buttplate and a full-length wooden forend secured by a single steel barrel band. Verification of the manufacturer and model is confirmed by markings on the top of the barrel stating J. STEVENS A & T CO. CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A. PAT. APR. 17, 94. and the caliber designation .22-SHORT on the left side of the barrel. The underside of the receiver is explicitly stamped with the model number 414 and the serial number 67115. A modern black nylon adjustable sling is attached to the existing swivels. Note - All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
