Group of four vintage Spanish military leather ammunition pouches for the Mauser Model 1893 rifle. Each pouch is constructed from black or dark brown leather with a single ammunition compartment, rounded fold-over flap, leather closure strap with brass stud, and a wide stitched belt loop on the reverse. This pattern was designed to carry three stripper clips of 7mm Mauser ammunition.
The four pouches exhibit varying degrees of age and service wear, including surface scuffing, finish loss, drying and creasing of the leather, worn stitching, oxidation to the hardware, and areas of verdigris around the brass studs.
