FABRIC-COVERED SEWING BASKET IN BRIGHT POLKA DOT PRINT WITH WOVEN TRIM, TWIN HANDLES, AND A LOT OF SEWING NOTIONS INCLUDED A rectangular lidded sewing basket covered in a black cotton print of large multicolored circles outlined in dashed faux-stitching, trimmed at the lid edge and the base with bands of woven black synthetic rattan, and fitted with two woven side carry handles that pivot on black barrel-shaped end caps. The hinged lid closes with a fabric loop tab at the front and shows exposed metal hinge pins at the back. The interior is lined in a black herringbone-weave fabric, lid included, and comes loaded with used sewing notions: a red tomato pin cushion with pins in place, a large blue spool of thread with loose thread ends, two white plastic notion or bobbin canisters, a black lidded canister, several small thread spools, a small plastic case, and additional loose items visible in the box. Flaws include general dust, loose thread ends inside, light fraying and glue sheen along the fabric edges at the lid rim and inner corners, small marks on the lining, and the notions are a used partial assortment rather than a complete kit. No maker mark, brand label, or country of origin is visible in the photographs, so no maker is claimed. UNTESTED - the hinge and handles have not been worked repeatedly, the contents have not been inventoried piece by piece, and thread strength has not been checked. The bright dashed-circle print and the synthetic woven trim on this example point to a relatively modern piece rather than a vintage wicker workbasket, and because there is no label or mark, no brand, date, or country of manufacture can be established from the photographs. Keep the fabric out of direct sun, as printed cotton fades and the colors here are the main appeal. Spot clean the covering only with a barely damp cloth and never soak it, since the board carcass underneath will swell and warp if it gets wet. Pins and needles may be loose in the box, so open it and unpack the contents carefully with your hands clear of the pin cushion.
