This Lot consists of an estimated 40,600 pounds of used, scrap, and unserviceable batteries loaded onto approximately 20 pallets in scrap condition, located at Anniston Army Depot. This Lot includes mixed industrial, military, aviation, commercial, and unidentified battery units. Battery chemistry, individual counts, and serviceability are not verified. Battery scrap will be loaded into the buyer's conveyance by Anniston personnel.
*** Due to Loading Limitations, ALL BATTERIES MUST BE REMOVED ON ONE TRIP INTO THE FACILITY. A minimum 53-foot box trailer is required. Vehicle height can be no higher than 12.5 feet off the ground. Anniston's equipment is unable to lift over that height. ***

A valid United States photo driver's license and insurance are required. Social Security numbers and other information may be required to validate a person's identity. People entering the Depot will be subject to a thorough vehicle inspection and personal background check. Felonies are prohibited. People with warrants will be detained and local authorities notified. An escort will be required while on the installation; therefore, appointments for pickups are required. If sending someone on your behalf, please provide release of authority, or company name and individual's name, and ensure they have a copy of your purchaser receipt for signing and a photo ID. The item(s) are considered hazardous materials, and the bidder will have to comply with all regulations and restrictions for local, state, and federal governments in regard to transportation and disposal of hazardous materials. The bidder hereby certifies that if awarded a contract under this invitation for bids, the bidder will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations, with respect to the care, handling, storage, shipment, resale, export, recycling, disposal, or other use of the material hereby purchased.
