Description from HiBid
16 Gauge with 36 Inch Barrels Antique. This is a Belgian-made side-by-side hammer shotgun manufactured for the Russell Arms Company and chambered in 16 gauge. The firearm is configured with exceptionally long 36-inch barrels joined by a textured sighting rib. The action is a traditional break-open design featuring dual external hammers and double triggers on side lock plates. The metal surfaces display a consistent dark brown patina across the barrels, hammers, and receiver. The furniture consists of a dark-stained wood stock and matching splinter forend with checkering present at the wrist and on the underside of the forend. The stock is fitted with a smooth metal buttplate. Prominent markings include the name RUSSELL ARMS CO. incised on the left lock plate and the word BELGIUM stamped on the top rib. The serial number is AC239464. Accompanying documentation cautions that the firearm is not to be fired with modern shells. In house shipping is available. This firearm is at least 50 years old.
