Final year of production model. The Model 81 Woodsmaster was introduced in 1936 and discontinued in 1950, This rifle is built with a blued steel receiver and a blued steel barrel, and it uses a tubular barrel jacket/sleeve that is characteristic of the design. The stock set includes a wood pistol grip buttstock with a steel checkered buttplate and a slim wood forend keeping the profile straightforward. Sighting is handled by open iron sights, including a blade front sight mounted on a base near the muzzle and a barrel-mounted open rear sight with a stepped elevator. The magazine housing is box type and has a capacity of 5 rnds. There are some light scratches and dents in the stock, and some light wear marks on the barrel. Please see photos.
