Remington Arms Co. Model 550-1 tube-fed semiautomatic rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle, dated March 1954. The rifle has a 24-inch barrel and measures 43 1/2 inches overall. Magazine capacities are 15 .22 LR, 17 .22 Long, or 22 .22 Short cartridges, plus one in the chamber. Blued finish with plain hardwood pistol-grip stock, black buttplate, sling-swivel studs, blade front sight, adjustable rear sight, and mounted Tasco variable-power scope.
CONDITION: Bore is mostly bright and action is tight. Handling and carry wear includes scattered scratches and dings to the stock and finish wear to the metal, particularly near the muzzle.
