The Remington-Keene rifle, manufactured from 1880 to 1888, was Remington’s first production bolt-action firearm. Chambered for the potent .45-70 Government cartridge, the rifle featured a tubular magazine and a unique, rear-mounted hammer. The .45-70 version offered a 9+1 round capacity for long rifles, and 7 rounds for carbines .This rifle remains in very good condition, showing normal signs of use and wear. Please see the photos.
