Lovely thick-set QH x SH mare. She is quiet, honest and forward moving, and really enjoys having a job to do. Point her in a direction and she will happily go no fuss, no drama.
She can be pulled straight out of the paddock after having months off and ridden with no issues, making her a very low-maintenance mare to own. She does feel tight when you first ride off, but has never bucked. Did throw in a small pigroot once. But that was it.
Suited to:
• Trail riding
• Mustering
• General pleasure riding
She has plenty of heart and stamina and will go all day if needed.
She is a forward moving mare, so would best suit a confident rider. She has never bucked or done anything dangerous with us, but she is strong, forward and enjoys work.
We brought her to Campdraft, she isn’t suited to cattle sports. She is just a farm mustering horse.
Known vices/quirks:
• Can be impatient at the tie-up rail and will move around. Nothing silly or dangerous, she just needs more time and consistency being tied up.
• Can be very matey and may pace the yard/paddock if her mate is taken away. I have had no issues riding her away from other horses, but she can run around like a silly bugger when her paddock mate leaves.
• Will paw the ground when tied up due to impatience.
A genuine, honest mare that would suit someone wanting a reliable and willing partner for trails, paddock work or mustering.
