Quality, well educated gelding suited to pony dressage, show ring or versatile allrounder role.
Owned by us for the past 6 years this boy is well educated on the flat, soft in the bridle, rides kindly and is sensible under saddle. He is consistent and reliable and has a solid foundation in basic dressage including leg yield and shoulder-in. Moves well and presents as a quality type with plenty of ability. Would be well suited to the show ring or pony dressage.
He has also been used for mustering, team penning and trail riding, and is confident out along roads and through the bush.
By Focus On Rathowen out of Allambie Park China Doll, carrying well recognised show horse breeding. Bred by Double TT Stud as Double TT Rumba. Eligible for ARP/RP/PW registration if pursued with the breeder (currently unregistered). Gives him genuine potential to be produced for the show ring or continue on as a versatile allrounder.
Good to catch, trim, clip, wash and float. Stands tied all day, travels well and is easy to take out. Good doer with strong feet and no shoes required.
No dirt or nasties but he can be a little looky or unsure on the ground if he doesn’t know you or has had time off, being a more sensitive type. He is much more settled in work and once he trusts his person, and is a lovely, willing horse under saddle. Best suited to a kind, confident rider who will give him consistency and time to build that trust.
Has had sporadic work over summer due to family commitments and seasonal itch. His itch can be quite bad over summer, particularly under the saddle area if he’s unrugged which he was until recently. It is manageable with rugging, and he is currently comfortable and presenting well, however with family commitments and the dry season we feel he would be happiest in a less itchy environment.
Scar on offside shoulder, cosmetic blemish only.
