Unique selection of a vintage vacuum tube radio, perfect for any collector. Produced by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. in 1962 (a company that is now modern-day Panasonic), the National GM-520 is praised by vintage electronics restorers for its robust build quality and distinctively warm analog tone produced by its vintage amplification tubes.
The radio features a dual-band analog frequency ruler and a quad-knob layout center stage with dual speakers on either side. One of the most notable features is the “Magic Eye” which is the circular window on the upper right section of the dial plate. This area glows green to indicate fine tuning precision. While this radio has some age to it, green coloring still comes through when turning the knob.
Radio still holds great presentation for its age and has been tested, showcasing that it is still in general working order. There is some exterior wear but overall gives off clean presence. The “magic eye” component still turns a hue of green.
