BLOSSOM AND GARLIC VASE. Height:42cm (16.54in) , Diameter:21cm (8.27in) Classic garlic?mouth vase form with bulbous mouth, slender tapering neck and ample pear?shaped body on a substantial foot?ring. The rim is decorated with key?fret pattern, the neck is painted with gnarled plum?tree with blossoming branches, bordered by ruyi?head frieze. The main bulbous body features a lively fish?and?aquatic?plant scene, multiple carp swimming among weeds and duckweed over fine wave lines, symbolizing surplus and prosperity. Scroll?foliage bands separate neck and body and encircle the foot. The cobalt?blue is bright and vivid with distinct tonal gradations, over smooth lustrous glaze.
