Extension Leaf. A mid-century modern dining table featuring a rectangular top with walnut veneers arranged in a book-matched grain pattern. The tabletop is supported by four tapered, slightly splayed legs characteristic of the period. The table includes one 12-inch extension leaf, which is identified as a filler piece by an attached brass-toned metal tag marked FILLER B. The underside of the leaf also features handwritten markings including # 400-42 and the name BANNON in red ink. The construction consists of a veneered top over a solid wood frame and legs.
