Vintage Jack Daniel's "Belle of Lincoln" commemorative whiskey decanter, released in 1979 as a reproduction of one of the earliest known bottle styles associated with Jack Daniel's whiskey.
Before 1871, Lynchburg and portions of present-day Moore County, Tennessee, were part of a larger county known as Lincoln County. During Jack Daniel's early years, "Belle of Lincoln" was one of the names under which his whiskey was sold.
While Jack Daniel remained a lifelong bachelor, company history has long associated the romantic "Belle" name with the possibility of one of several women who played a part in his life.
No original Belle of Lincoln decanters are known to survive. This impressive 1.75-liter reproduction was released in 1979 and designed using surviving historical descriptions of the original.
