R Serial # 55527. 12 Ga. double barrel shotgun with 28” barrels. The bores are generally excellent, clean and shiny. The right barrel has a bulge about 2” back from the muzzle. The barrels are choked Full and Imp. Modified. The chambers are 2-3/4". Made by Ithaca as a low-cost model utilizing malleable iron to make the frame. Double triggers with extractors. The blued metal finish on the barrels is in very good condition showing light muzzle wear with scattered light scratches and scattered light freckling. The case hardened finish on the receiver shows faded case color with a covering of light surface rust on the underside. The plain walnut stock and forearm are in very good condition showing scattered light dings and scratches, mostly on the butt stock. Plastic butt plate with an LoP od 14”. The action works fine. Made from 1929 to 1946. C&R.
