The Langeham Pistol, Officially known as the FL Selbstlader (Friedrich Langenhan Self Loader) was a WWI Era German Pistol based largely off of the FN Browning 1900. These pistols operate in the same way as the FN, with a fixed barrel on the bottom of the slide with the recoil spring occupying the space above the barrel. These pistols were made from 1914-1917, a production which only saw about 55,000 produced, and were issued both to soldiers and police. This pistol comes with the original holster. This pistol sports “Horn” grips, a technique used by the Germans during WWI to supplement hard rubber in which cow horns were steamed and pressed into molds. These grips are often seen with insect damage, as seen on the ejection-side grip of this example. Otherwise this pistol is in very good condition and appears to be in good mechanical order.
