TOOL TOTE FULL OF HAND TOOLS - COMBINATION AND OPEN-END WRENCHES, SCREWDRIVERS, PIPE WRENCH, ADJUSTABLE WRENCH, RATCHET AND EXTENSIONS, TIN SNIPS AND MORE
A loaded avocado-green plastic tool caddy with a molded center carry handle, packed full of everyday shop and farm hand tools. The wrench side holds roughly twenty combination, open-end, and box-end wrenches in a mix of makes and sizes, several marked ACE HARDWARE, others marked DROP FORGED 2592R, CHROME ALLOY 43824 DROP FORGED, and FORGED IN GERMANY, in a range from small ignition-size wrenches up to a large open-end. The other side holds roughly a dozen screwdrivers, flat and Phillips, in wood, amber, red, yellow, and black plastic handles, including one marked STANLEY, plus stubby drivers, an awl or scratch tool, and long-shank drivers. Loose in the tote and pulled out for the photographs are a small pipe wrench, an adjustable wrench, a 3/8 drive ratchet with two extensions and a swivel or wobble extension, orange-handled tin snips, sockets and adapters, an orange spring-handled cutter or clamp tool, and other odds and ends. Roughly forty pieces plus the tote, all used, dirty, and shop-worn, with rust on many of the pieces. Practical lot for a shop, farm truck, rent house, or a young hand starting a tool collection, and it stacks well with the other garage and ranch lots in this sale. The individual pieces were not counted, sorted, sized, tested, or inventoried one at a time, and bidders must count and identify the contents from the photographs. Sold as one tote with all contents pictured.
Description
Molded plastic tool caddy in avocado or lime green, open top with a divider down the middle and a molded rectangular carry handle rising from the divider, older utility-tote style.
Wrenches, roughly twenty pieces laid out in the photographs: combination wrenches, open-end double wrenches, and box-end wrenches, in both small and large sizes. Markings quoted as read where legible: ACE HARDWARE on several, with size stampings that read as 12, 13, 14, and 10 among others, DROP FORGED 2592R, CHROME ALLOY 43824 DROP FORGED, FORGED IN GERMANY or MADE IN GERMANY, and one large open-end that appears to read 11/16 and 5/8 with additional lettering. Sizes appear to include both inch and metric wrenches mixed together, but no complete size list is claimed and the markings on many pieces are rusted over, worn, or turned away from the camera.
Screwdrivers, roughly a dozen laid out: flat-blade and Phillips, short and long shank, with wood, translucent amber, red, yellow, black, and black-and-yellow plastic handles, one clearly marked STANLEY, one stubby wood-handle Phillips, and one heavy wood-handle flat driver. Several appear to be older wood-handle tools; the rest are common hardware-store drivers.
Small pipe wrench, forged iron with a straight handle and adjusting nut, roughly 10 inch class by appearance, heavily rusted.
Adjustable wrench, roughly 10 to 12 inch, with lettering on the handle that reads in part as CRAFT and possibly Pittsburgh; the marking is worn and partly illegible and no brand is claimed.
Ratchet and drive tools: one 3/8 drive ratchet with a knurled handle, two straight extensions, and one angled or wobble-end extension, plus loose sockets and an adapter or two visible down in the tote.
Tin snips with orange painted handles, blades rusted and dull.
Additional loose items visible in the tote include an orange spring-loaded plier-type or cutter-type tool, brass or bronze fittings, a long knurled-handle tool, several punches, chisels, or awls, and unidentified small pieces down in the bottom. Items lying at the bottom of the tote are partly buried and were not removed or identified, so no claim is made about what is under the top layer.
Tote measures approximately 17 to 18 inches long, approximately 11 to 12 inches wide, and approximately 6 inches tall at the sidewall, per the tape-measure photographs. In every measuring frame the tape is laid across the top of the tote or stood on the floor against the outside rather than hooked on an edge, so all of these figures are close estimates only. No individual tool was measured and no wrench sizes were verified against a fastener or a caliper. Bidders should verify all dimensions and sizes from the photographs.
Photographed on a bare concrete floor; other items visible at the frame edges in one photograph, including a red toolbox and a chair leg, are NOT part of this lot.

This is a working mixed-brand hand tool group, not a matched or collectible set. The ACE HARDWARE wrenches are hardware-store house-brand tools, and the DROP FORGED and CHROME ALLOY markings with four- and five-digit catalog numbers are typical of mid-grade American and imported wrench production. FORGED IN GERMANY or MADE IN GERMANY markings on a wrench of this type usually indicate a European-made tool sold through American channels, often supplied with imported vehicles or equipment.
