ELEGANT PRESSED GLASS THREE-LIGHT CANDELABRUM - SCROLL ARMS, BOBECHES & HANGING CRYSTAL PRISMS A graceful three-light candelabrum in clear pressed glass, the kind of piece that anchors a formal table or mantel. A stepped center candle cup rises from a scalloped oval foot, flanked by two sweeping C-scroll arms molded with acanthus and rosette detail, each arm ending in a raised candle socket fitted with a removable notched bobeche. The two bobeches are hung with faceted U-drop crystal prisms that catch the light beautifully when candles are lit. Sold as one piece with prisms as pictured. Fostoria catalogued three-light candelabra complete with bobeches and prisms, along with replacement bobeches drilled to hold ten prisms and separate "U DROP" and "SPEARHEAD" prisms in 3" and 3-3/4" lengths, and Fostoria's scroll-arm three-light candlesticks on the Baroque No. 2496 line, produced from 1936 to 1966, share this general silhouette. Heisey built its candelabra the same way, with base, arms, candle cups, and bobeches all fitted together by metal spools or ferrules, and Cambridge produced numbered bobeches designed to carry four, five, six, eight, or ten prisms. Because this candelabrum carries no mark, no maker attribution is claimed or guaranteed - Fostoria, Heisey, Cambridge, and Imperial all produced closely comparable forms, and bobeches and prisms were commonly swapped between pieces over the years. Condition Used vintage condition, sold as-is. The candelabrum photographs clean and bright with good clarity and no cloudiness to the glass. The prisms are present and hanging on both bobeches, with light age tarnish and darkening to the small wire hooks and metal loop pins, which is normal and expected. Faint amber or rust-toned staining is visible inside the candle cups from old candle wax and wick residue, and the base shows light shelf scratching and mold seams typical of pressed glass. Expect minor flea bites or roughness to the prism tips and bobeche edges - these thin faceted drops almost always show small nicks after decades of use. No significant chips or cracks were observed in the photographs, but the arms, bobeche rims, and prism tips are the vulnerable areas and bidders should study every photograph closely and satisfy themselves as to condition before bidding.
