GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING TOWN AUCTION: By submitting a bid for the Town of Longmeadow surplus property and police auction and through signing the Bill of Lading upon pickup, the bidder certifies under penalties of perjury that the bid has been made and submitted in good faith and without collusion or fraud with any other person (The word “person” shall mean any natural person, business, partnership, corporation, union, committee, club or other organization, entity or group of individuals.) The Town of Longmeadow acting through the Town Manager reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive minor informalities and to award in the best interest of the Town. Town surplus property sold per Massachusetts General Law (MGL), Chapter 30B, Section 15; Police Auction items sold per MGL 135, Section 7 & 8.

Removal terms▾
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.
