COLT FRONTIER SCOUT “KANSAS COMMEMORATIVE” — .22 LR SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER
Colt Frontier Scout Single Action Army “Kansas Commemorative” revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle, presented in its original Colt commemorative wooden presentation box. The Colt Frontier Scout series was introduced in 1957 as a scaled-down version of the famous Colt Single Action Army. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s Colt produced numerous commemorative editions honoring historic states, lawmen, and frontier history. The Kansas Commemorative Frontier Scout was produced in 1977 to celebrate the rich frontier heritage of the state of Kansas and the role the region played in the settlement of the American West.
This commemorative revolver features the classic Single Action Army styling, with a blued barrel and cylinder, alloy frame with commemorative markings, and attractive Colt grips with medallions. The revolver comes complete with its factory Colt wooden presentation case, making it an excellent collectible example of Colt’s commemorative revolver program.
The Kansas Commemorative Frontier Scout was produced in a limited run of approximately 3,000 revolvers, making surviving examples—especially those retaining their original presentation box and in pristine condition—increasingly desirable to Colt collectors.
A fine example of a Colt commemorative revolver celebrating the heritage of the American frontier.
