Tins are still present. Has original brass "US" on the flap. Piece exhibits age and wear. 2) CIVIL WAR CAP BOX. Civil War Cap Leather Cap Box.introduced in the 1840s, the pouch for carrying percussion caps which ignited the musket cartridges was invariably carried on the right front of the waist belt. The box has full form and original nipple pick included.
