Its neck is paved with turquoise slabs forming scale patterns outlined by gold wire. Gold and silver filigree carves feather motifs on the head, wings and tail, embellished with red agate and blue glass cabochons. The cylindrical socket below holds the wooden cane, inscribed with gold-inlaid characters and decorated with turquoise and glass inlays. In ancient times, dove-shaped canes were awarded to elders as a symbol of longevity and respect for the elderly. The composite craft of gold-silver inlay and gemstone mosaic marks the pinnacle of Warring States metalworking, reserved for high-ranking nobles.
