To have your item shipped, you must actively request it by contacting our office after your online payment clears. CA State Surplus will not proactively reach out to you with shipping instructions.

Please note the following critical shipping requirements:
• Customer-Provided Labels Only: You must generate and provide a prepaid shipping label from a carrier of your choosing. We do not calculate or purchase shipping labels for customers.
• Wednesday Shipments Only: Outgoing shipments are only processed and released on Wednesdays.
• Hard Cutoff Time: We must receive your prepaid shipping label by Tuesday at 12:00 PM (Noon) for your package to go out that Wednesday. Labels received after this cutoff will automatically be held and processed for the following week. We do not offer same-day shipping.
• Carrier Pickups: Regular carrier pickups are only executed by USPS. If you provide a label for any other carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx), you are solely responsible for scheduling the pickup for that Wednesday with your chosen carrier.
• Zero Liability & No Insurance: CA State Surplus is not responsible for any items lost, stolen, or damaged during transit. We do not provide shipping insurance. To protect your purchase, we strongly recommend that you purchase additional shipping insurance directly with your carrier.
• No Packaging (Except USPS Flat Rate): Unless you provide a label for a USPS Large Flat Rate Box, we do not add additional padding to items. We simply tape up the existing box the item is already sitting in and apply your shipping label.
• Freight: We do not pack or palletize large freight items. You must hire a third-party logistics company to prep, pack, and load your freight shipment.

All property MUST be removed within 10 (ten) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate. any item not removed within the 10 business days will be Defaulted For all property purchased, buyer must send email to ContactSPR@dgs.ca.gov with Buyer’s Certificate attached and the asset and inventory IDs in the email subject line. Indicate in the email the method that the purchase will be removed. Property may be picked in person Monday through Friday between 8am to 2:00pm at our warehouse in Natomas, CA. APPOINTMENT IS NEEDED. Email ContactSPR@dgs.ca.gov to set up an appointment. Buyer must show ID to match transaction in Gov Deals. If another person will be picking up the item, email ContactSPR@dgs.ca.gov to receive an Authorization Release form to authorize someone else to pick up. If ELIGIBLE: Property may be shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx.
