Model S2, 12 gauge, SN: 19863, shotgun, 27.675" brls, break action over/under, very good plus condition. Beautifully engraved high grade Beretta S2 side lock shotgun. The left side of the top bore is marked Kg 1,415 18,3 17,3 with the bottom of the bottom barrel at the breech being marked with the serial number and model along with XIV and a few other proof marks. The underside of the forend iron is jeweled with engraved screw heads. The walnut forend has a finger groove and wrap around checkering showing some finish loss, minor but present and a few very small losses to the wood at the very tip. Along with some light scattered handling and fitted with highly engraved metal. Both bores shine mirror bright having a vent rib and fitted with a single white bead showing a touch of thinning to the blued finish on the right side of the upper barrel at the muzzle with scratches from assembling under the receiver and not visible when assembled. The receiver, side plates, trigger guard, tang and lever are all highly engraved and hand fitted most having a coin finish and showing only minor handling. The pistol grip checkered butt stock has an L.O.P. of 14.25" and is fitted with a Pachmayr butt pad with areas of heavy lacquer on the checkering and little overall handling marks.
