Thompson Model 1928 SMG, .45 ACP, SN: 1900A, machine gun, 10.5" round brl. with Cutts compensator, open-bolt blow-back action, very good condition. This Thompson 1928 was manufactured by Auto-Ordnance at the West Hurley Plant as part of the "A" suffix production run. The original American submachine gun used by G-Men & Gangsters alike, these later production firearms are a select fire reproduction of the original 1920s Era "Tommy Gun". Comes with FBI style transport case, West Hurley marked Thompson type "L" 50 round drum magazine, two Bridgeport manufactured 20 round magazines, one Patented Jan 11, 1921. Three Seymour Pro. 30 round and three Crosby Co. WW2 period 30 round magazines. All magazines show varying degrees of handling and wear. The Tommy Gun is fitted with a fixed front sight on the Cutts compensator as well as a folding adjustable rear. The bore shines bright with nice rifling having 27 fins. The right side flat of the receiver bears the seven line patent stamp along with "AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION/WEST HURLEY, NEW YORK, U.S.A.". The left side is marked "U.S. MODEL OF 1928/No. 1900A" as well as "THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN/CALIBER .45 M1". The safety and select fire levers are located on the left side of the grip frame and along with the magazine release lever are plum blued. Most factory blued surfaces show just a few light scattered handling marks most noticeable of which are located under the removable butt stock where there appears to be some slight deformation of the rear edge lines. The butt stock and both pistol grips are all smooth with the latter having finger grooves and the former being fitted with a sling swivel.
