Civil War Commemorative Framed Pieces. This lot features an assortment of vintage advertising items, Civil War commemorative fabric pieces, and decorative objects. The collection includes framed printed fabric insignia pieces related to Ohio Civil War regiments. A represents McMullins 1st Independent Ohio Battery, featuring a central cannon on a red field with yellow fringe, inscribed with the Gaelic motto Faugh A Ballah and battle honors Carnifex and South Mountain. The second honors the 60th Ohio Volunteer Infantry (O.V.I.) and lists multiple engagements including Wilderness, Spotsylvania, and Petersburg around a central eagle and shield motif. Both are mounted in red-painted wooden frames. Advertising ephemera includes a Tuscaloid enamel sign produced by The Meek Co. of Coshocton, Ohio, for The Actual Business Colleges of Canton and Akron, featuring a womans portrait in an integrated oval frame. Also included is a large lithographed cardboard sign or calendar topper depicting a Native American woman by a moonlit lake, marked P.B. Co. Boston. The group is rounded out by a small lithographed tin Coca-Cola tip tray featuring a woman in a black hat (marked Copyright 1912 by Wolf and Co.), an embossed tin lid for Silver Sea Coffee, and a cast brass wall-mounted rack with a group of hooks and a spreading eagle design, retaining a Made in India foil sticker.
