Monticello Pattern. An American art pottery earthenware vase in the Monticello pattern, attributed to Roseville Pottery, circa 1931. The vessel features a squat, ovoid body with a wide, slightly flared rim, flanked by two small loop handles. The decoration consists of hand-applied drip glazes over a mottled orange-ochre ground, accented by stylized, elongated seed pod or chevron-like motifs in dark navy blue and white. Subtle green glaze transitions are visible around the shoulder and neck. The underside is unmarked, which is consistent with the production standards for this specific pattern. Approximately 7 inches (H). Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Thursday, April 30 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
