This Japanese Type 99 Sniper Rifle chambered in 7.7x58mm is an exceptionally desirable military firearm that combines rarity, historical significance, and collector appeal. Featuring a 26-inch barrel with a shiny bore and good overall condition, this example includes an original Japanese scope, original sling, and original cleaning rod. Manufactured at the famed Nagoya Arsenal, the rifle remains a highly collectible sniper variant despite the chrysanthemum no longer being intact. The stock has been refinished, but the rifle retains its distinctive military character and wartime appearance. Japanese sniper rifles were produced in significantly smaller numbers than standard infantry rifles, making surviving examples increasingly difficult to locate.
