Antique Hunting Shell Boxes *NO AMMO*

Excellent selection of some antique shotgun shell boxes, perfect for any collector to put on display. All three of these boxes appear to be of the pre-WWII era, most likely from the 1930s. They do hold some established wear due to their age but are great presentation pieces due to their rustic presentation. The first two selections display “Pointer” Loaded Shells produced by the Clinton Cartridge Co. of Chicago Illinois. The cover of the box features a red background with the side profile of a dog with a pheasant in its mouth. One box is listed as 10 GA (rare for the era due to low production numbers) and the other listed as 12 GA. The 10 GA box does have more substantial wear than the other but once again they both hold rustic presentation. The third item is a box for “Xpert” Shotgun Shells produced by the Western Cartridge Co. of East Alton, Illinois. This box features a green background with a hunting dog in mid chase. Most boxes of this brand came in a deep blue presentation, making the green presentation of this box more of a sought after item. This box listed its original contents as 16 GA Shotgun Shells.
