Curiosities Including Trench Art, Political Memorabilia, and Folk Art. An assortment of vintage and antique collectibles and decorative objects. The collection features a trench art table lamp constructed from a large engraved shell casing with stippled floral motifs, resting on a stacked circular base. Included is a red display board containing a group of reproduction political campaign pinback buttons for candidates ranging from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century. Natural history and maritime items include a natural turtle shell, a carved mother-of-pearl shell depicting a figure in relief, and an unworked shell. Folk art items include a painted wooden plaque with a stylized figure, a carved and painted wooden head with Native American motifs, a wooden whistle, and several pointed wooden implements bound by a leather strap. Metalware consists of an embossed powder flask, a small brass bell, a miniature cast iron iron, and a collapsible aluminum cup with a star-patterned lid. Also included are miniature enamelware vessels, an empty metal shell casing, a small container of ammunition, a booklet titled The Bituminous Coal Story, and a fragmented box for Mohawk's Red Hot Salve.
